Somerset Wedding Photographer

Martin Dabek

Hello I’m Martin. I’m a husband, father, pet owner and Somerset wedding photographer in my spare time. I have been photographing weddings since 2010 and to be honest I can’t imagine doing anything else. I love weddings and capturing the story of your day is my passion.

If I could describe my style in only three words it would be: relaxed, natural and creative. I love capturing candid moments as it is really important to me just allow the day to unfold naturally and record those special moments as they occur. I do love timeless black and white images and dramatic images with bold colours.

Most of my reviews include sentence along those lines:

“…Martin captured our day beautifully without being obtrusive. We have some lovely candid shots of us and our guests…”

My couples appreciate my low-light/evening portraits and it’s one of the reason why I photograph quite a lot Winter weddings, which I enjoy very much.

Most of my couples end up with stunning high quality handmade leather albums which they love. Yes I do believe in wedding albums and it’s part of my job to design one for you. It will become your family heirloom that you and your kids will cherish for a very long time.

Bristol is a place which I call home and I mainly photograph weddings in Somerset and surrounding counties. Over the years I photograph in most of the best Somerset wedding venues and I have been recommended by many of them: Coombe Lodge, Priston Mill, Brympton House, Walton Castle, Pennard House to mention a few.

Having said that I always get excited when I have an opportunity to photograph at venues that I never been before, so whether you are getting married in the castle, a barn, country house or tipi in the field I would love to tell the story of your day through my images.
